It was quite clear that Sam elf had been up to mischief again on Friday morning! All the children could see when they entered the classroom was a very long trail of toilet paper across the floor, and a smiling Sam rolled up at the end of it!

Christmas 'Homework' will be put in the children's bookbags on Monday, along with their changed reading books for the holidays. Therefore, there will be no need for the children to bring their book bags into school on Tuesday (just party clothes).I will put a reminder up on the classroom door on Monday.
Thank you to those who have kindly signed up to bring food or drink in for our Christmas Party on Tuesday....there are still some spaces on the list....:)
Party Clothes - The children may bring in some Party Clothes to change into AFTER lunch, ready for our class Christmas party. As the children cam and sat on the carpet this morning, they noticed that somebody else was already there- Sam elf. Sam had helped himself to the Multilink box in the Maths Area, and had spelt out his name in cubes. He had also left the box out for the children to have a go at spelling their own names out too!
Miss Rushbrooke was not very happy when the children came and told her what Sam elf had been up to this morning! He had made rather a mess in the Maths Area. We think that he may of been trying to sort the elephants and bears into the sorting trays......but got in a muddle, or rather a mess!
Again, when the children came into school this morning, Sam elf was a little harder to find, until one of the children looked up to find Sam hanging upside down from the washing line! He has been hanging there for most of the day, watching the children upside down!. We think he must have rather a bit of a headache now!
When the children came into school this morning, they found Sam elf sitting in the biscuit tin! He was covered in crumbs and had eaten all the biscuits and working his way through the very last one!
We are hoping that there are some more biscuits in the cupboard for our afternoon snack! As you may of seen, I decided not to give the children homework this week- there was lots going on with the Nativity, and I feel the children needed a well deserved break! :)
A big well done to all of KS1 for taking part in the Nativity- I think you will agree it, both performances were brilliant, and the children's acting and especially singing was FANTASTIC!
We are super proud of how well the Reception children did too, not just with the final performances, but all their hard work, patience, singing and even just sitting in the lead up to them! Thank-you also to all the staff for their hard work! When the children came into the classroom this morning, they found our classroom elf, Sam, asleep!
Sam had made himself a bed out of our tissue box and was using a tissue as a duvet! We think he was just so tired from all the Nativity practises and watching over the children for Santa. We are hoping he gets some well deserved rest (including the children themselves) over the weekend! |
