Please take a look at this video on BBC iPlayer - Numberblocks - Series 5: What's My Number? It is good for recognition of numbers. Give it a go and then try it with objects around the home. For example, how many eggs in an egg carton?
The children were shown how to draw pictures of different transport using a video and following it step by step; Here is the link: Easy drawing of Air Trasport/ Typed of Transport Part:2 - Bing video
Well would you believe it, the children have now been back in school for a week. They have all settled in very well and I'm proud of each and every one of them. They have all been working so hard and looking forward to the new topics that they will be learning about. I am hoping that you can join-in with their leaning as the children start to learn about the Greatest Inventions: Transport. I will be sending a piece of paper home so that each child can draw and label their favourite mode of transport and find something out about the history of it. For example when was the first car built? In Music the children will be learning songs about transport and learning make and play simple instrument.
and then in Science learn about Polar adventures and carry out experiments to see if their predictions were correct. Maths this half term is on Addition and Subtraction (within 20) then we will be working on Place Value. Within English we will be looking at non-fiction and fictional texts as well as looking at poems, rhyming, labeling and writing letters. The children have been learning about Tens and Ones in Maths today. I have attached this helpful link from the BBC Bite Size website: How to count with tens and ones - BBC Bitesize
Last week the children learnt about 3D and 2D shapes. They all worked so hard on this I have to say I’m so proud of them all. The children have all so been making lists and writing letters to Santa. Today the children wore the hats that they had made for the Christmas Meal, they all enjoyed themselves a lot!. Dear all I have attached a web link to this page which will help support your child's learning.
