We had a debate what to do with an old building. We represented the five interested parties, of Suffolk County Council, a Cinema Company, Housing Developers, The Docks Company and finally a Water Park. We put forward our views and arguments for saving the building or knocking it down and using the land for development. The final vote decided upon the land being developed into a Water Park.
We had fun testing out each shape to see how many lines of symmetry each one had. we predicted first how many lines of symmetry a circle, parallelogram, trapezium and rectangle have and then we tested each one. We used the concentration gem to help us and then the reflective gem to correct some of our answers, learning something new as we went.
In science we are studying Living Things and their Habitats. We went on a bug hunt and identified three different micro- habitats to survey what lived there and what the conditions of their habitat was.
To celebrate the big finsih of our geography topic all about The Americas and Route 66 we opened an American diner in the classroom and had great fun sharing the locations to could stop off on, on Route 66.
We carried out research and investigations into different animals and how to protect out World and their habitats and environmets. We each wrote a pledge on how to help protect our planet and their habitats.
We had a brillaint rip to Norwich to see the fantastic performance of Charlie and The Choclate Fcatory.
