For the first time ever, children from Year 2 were invited to take part in a Key Stage 1 Cricket Festival. With the help from some lovely mums, we all travelled to the Copdock and OI Cricket Club in Ipswich. The event was extremely well organised and the children had fun in the sun playing cricket type games against other schools from across Ipswich. As always the children from TSM were fun, polite and fantastic competitors! A group of footballers from Years 3 and 4 travelled to Felixstowe Academy to take part in the Xtra Time Football Festival organised by Chris West. With 6 players instead of 7 (probably Mrs Ross's fault for not reading an email correctly!), team A and B took on teams from Kingsfleet and Colneis. Our very first game was TSM A V TSM B!......With lots of goals and some very skillful playing (and three top coaches: Mr Childs, Jack {our PE student} and Mr Last, the teams worked well together to play some great games! Our Summer House Point Winners are ...........Team Water....... Members of Team Water can now give suggestions for their treat on Wednesday 17th July.... 8 children from Year 5 and 6 along with Mrs Ross, Mrs Matthews and Mr Childs travelled to Bury St Edmunds to take part in the Suffolk School Games Swimming Gala....... After races in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and two relays.......................................... TSM WON GOLD! Spirit of School Games.... the children definitely earned these!
26 children from across KS2 went to Trimley St Mary School this afternoon to compete in the Flexistowe Schools Area Sports Day. As always with so many excellent athletes, it was a really tight competition with TSM coming second, only 4 points in front of Kingsfleet and just behind Colneis Junior School. A massive well done to everyone who took part.
Our school packed lunches option starts tomorrow.......children can order either a hot school meal or a school packed lunch. (Plus the option of home packed lunches)... All those having packed lunches (either from school or home can now picnic everyday on the school field until the end of term. We really enjoyed our Wimbledon Picnic on the field today
10 children from Year 3 and 4 travelled to Inspire Suffolk in Ipswich to take part in the U9 Quadkids athletic event. Even in the boiling sun, we had many in the top 4 for our group in the sprint, distance, standing long jump and the Vortex throw. A massive thank you to Mr Childs for getting the children ready for this event and coming along to organise the children for each event and a huge thanks to parents who helped with transport and who came along to support the children!
We definitely earned these today.... |
