Today was Goof Off Day. Children came into school dressed in non-school uniform and did Goofy things all day. Reception came to school in wellies and sunglasses, Year 2 pulled funny faces and told jokes and Year 5 made words out of Alphabetti Spaghetti.
Check out your child's blog or Seesaw to see more goofing off antics..... On Thursday afternoon a group of children from Year 5 and 6 went to Causton Junior School to take part in the Felixstowe Inter-school Football competition. Both the Year 5 and Year 6 teams played with commitment, perseverance, fair-play and team-work. Guided by Mr Childs and Mr Ainsley, the two teams scored 12 goals in all, with George scoring 6, Cabhan scoring 1, Ashton scoring 2, Jackson scoring 2 and Billy scoring 1. Our Year 5 Team won every game they played, resulting in them winning their league cup! At the weekend our marvelous majorette took part in Tiny Poms and Junior Poms (Cheerleading pom poms) and achieved 2nd place in Tiny Poms and was then awarded a medal by her coach from the Poloz Team, a special achievement medal. The team travelled over 80 miles for their competition in Skegness. Well done and keep pompomming!
Today, I was introduced to the Maths Factor. Answering about 96 questions a day over 30 days, our super mathematician above has earned over 18 medals and certificates! I think even Michael Phelps would be jealous of all these medals. WELL DONE! Information from the Maths Factor website- How it works...The purpose of the challenge is to embed good habits. Think of maths like reading: a child should practise a little every day!
