We believe coming to and from school could compromise the safety of our pupils and their families. World Book Day will be rearranged for Friday 9th March. An extra week to complete the Big Book Off Challenge.....
Due to the conditions outside of the school and the issues & blockages already being experienced on the A14. The school will remain closed today. Any appointments and Year 4 parents evening will be rearranged. Remember to Keep Safe and Keep Warm.
Due to the weather and the driving conditions for both staff and parents, we are closed today. All parents should have received a text message this morning. If you did not receive a message, please check the school has your most recent contact numbers.
Keep safe, keep warm. Not sure who enjoyed themselves more???? The children or the teachers??? The vocabulary, the logical thinking, the creativity, the social interaction and cooperation was astounding. Today made me remember that we are children, not a progress score or an attainment level, but children, who laugh, who can problem solve, who can build, who can THROW! Who just sometimes need to have just plain fun!!!
Ali and Ben came along to present the school with our Gold Sports Award.
Trimley St Martin is one of very few schools to achieve the Gold Award. Another proud moment for Trimley St Martin. Year 4 are at Flatford Mill for their school trip. They arrived safely and all is going well when I left to return for parents evening. I am a bit disappointed as I am now missing the den building, but hope to get back in time for the bonfire. Check out Simmonds Blog to see what is happening. We hope to add pictures as the day and evening progresses. (WiFi permitting) I thought being the Headteacher would get me some perks, so how did Mr Childs get the posh room and roll top bath??
Thank you to those who have completed and returned the parent questionnaire. Once collected we will produce and share our results and we will also endeavour to address any improvements that have been suggested. However improvements can not always be made, if we are unaware of any issues or suggestions. This is your chance to share your views and help us to provide a better service to your children and to you. As a child if I moaned about something that happened weeks ago and about something that could have been sorted if only I had said something, my mum would always say. "am I a mind reader, why didn't you tell me before", this is very true, we can only do something, if we know about it. Please help us by completing the questionnaires.
