On Thursday afternoon 11 children from Year 6 had the confidence and commitment to be interviewed by Myself, Mrs MacFarlane and Mrs Matthews. Having only recently been in the same position when interviewed for the Role of Acting Headteacher, I understood the nervousness and sure courage that was needed to sit facing a panel of interviewers. All three interviewers were extremely impressed with the quality of answers given and the quality of the vocabulary used to get their points across.
" I would be the linchpin for communication between the teachers and the children" "Our uniform identifies us a a team" "The teachers ensure that everyone gets the education they deserve" " Our school educates children to a very high standard" After lots of discussion and changing our minds several times, we made our final decision. This years Head Boy and Head Girl are... Today I was invited to Year 6 to listen to children recite and read poetry and then to a Year 2 dance lesson. Extremely proud of the hard work seen in each classroom. The Famous Five The first five of Year 6 to work with Mr Harvey in his poetry recital work shops. To say I was impressed with their skill, their confidence, their memory and their hard work would be an understatement! Dancing with Attitude
So we are famous at last! Check out the article in the Ipswich Star. Click on the link Straight after school today 48 of our Key stage 2 children headed off to Langer Academy to take part in the yearly Paarlauf competition. Year 3 had to continually run for 5 minutes, Year 4 for 8 minutes, Year 5 for 10 minutes and Year 6 for a whole 12 minutes. After much baton passing and sheer determination all children had run their best. With only 62 runs between 1st place and 6th every school had given their all. A very well done to Langer Academy who deservedly came 1st and an over whelming well done to Trimley St Martin who came in 3rd. A huge thank you to parents who travelled down to support us and for all the parents who gave lifts. Without this support we as a school would found it very difficult to get to such events. A massive thank you to Mrs Goodhand and Miss Henson for coming along and organising everything. Remember to keep up with sporting events across Suffolk and to check out our sports blog. Go to
