Two teams from Year 3 and 4 went along to Kingsfleet today to take part in the 'Xtra Time Football Development Championship' competition. With a super effort by every child and an abundance of goals. Trimley St Martin were able to raise the cup as winners. Well done everyone!!! Check out the blog on our School Games Website....
10 children from Year 5 and 6 went all the way to Northgate School in Ipswich to take part in the U11 Quadkids event. All children had to compete in four events: Standing Long Jump, 75m Race, 600m Race and the Vortex throw. With over 64 teams and 640 children, this was a very big event in the competition calendar. The children jumped, ran and threw as far and fast as they could. We await our overall ranking, but hope for a top twenty finish..... A massive thank you to our parents who helped transport children to and from the event and stayed to watch.... Thanks to Mr Childs and Mrs Lawrence who put up with Mrs Ross getting excited as she watched proudly as the children competed.... Check out our blog on our School Games website page
Miss Rowe and some children from the TSM Friend's group held their very own Sports Day. Each event was supported by friendship, co-operation, moral support and celebration. Oh and the adults had fun too! Mrs Hayter travelled to the University of Hertfordshire for the Public Exhibition for the Primary Engineer Leaders Award and to see our Trophy Winner receive her trophy and to see some of our amazing inventions for the Engineers Award on display..... What amazing achievements!!!!!! Thank you Mrs Collins for your extra photos.
When the children return to school on Tuesday 5th June, Mr Childs will return as a married man. Obviously we could not let him go without a small surprise and our best wishes.... A message sent to Mrs Hayter
Thank you so much for taking part in the Primary Leaders Award 2017-2018 for the East of England, I hope that you and your Students really enjoyed the experience; I know we have enjoyed this year, looking at all the exciting, amazing entries from all the schools who took part. In its inaugural year, we are pleased to announce that, in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire and MBDA, the Public Exhibition for the Primary Engineer Leaders Award in the East of England will be held at the University of Hertfordshire on the 5 & 6 June 2018. The following student/s from your school have been chosen to be put on display. Neala- Year 1 Verity- Year 2 Max- Year 3 Madison- Year 3 Elissa- Year 3 Archie- Year 4 Gracie- Year 4 Billy-Year 5 Why did Mrs Hayter get this message? The whole school entered the Primary Engineer & Secondary Engineer Leaders Awards Background info.... For the fifth year in succession Primary and Secondary school pupils across the UK were challenged to change the world! Pupils were asked to research engineering and interview a practicing engineer to inspire them in answering the question: "If you were an Engineer, what would you do?" Pupils then identified an issue and invented an engineered solution to that problem. Primary pupils of 9 or over were asked to illustrate their solution, accompanied by a 100 word letter ‘pitching’ their invention. The Leaders Awards are STEM programmes designed to encourage children, from as young as 5 years old and up to 19 years of age, to engage with engineers who convey the importance and the ubiquity of engineering in everybody’s lives – from the houses they live in to the technology and tools they use, from the multiple transport system they travel in and the very food they eat. Schools develop relationships with industry, both local and worldwide, which give pupils a unique perspective of professions and their significance in the wider world. The Leaders Awards are a part of Primary Engineer Programmes: www.primaryengineer.com and pupils from our school not only entered and have some work on display, but we also have a Trophy Award Winner..... Ava from our Reception class Ava and her 'Talking Bed' design, has been chosen as a TROPHY WINNER; Ava and her family have been invited to the Awards Ceremony and Private Exhibition, where she will be presented with her trophy. Well done Ava, Neala, Max, Madison, Elissa, Verity, Archie, Gracie and Billy. We are super proud of you all. All work on display at.....
