Remember way back when Mrs Ross set one of our first school challenges, well we kind of have a few winners! Not the original CanSong but the CupSong. WELL DONE! Our Runners up
Our Winners Today was the last of the Maths Curriculum Afternoons. Reports from children, parents and teachers were very positive. We hope that all that were able to attend have a greater understanding of the high expectations that each year group are now expected to achieve and also came away with the knowledge on how to help your child at home. If you were unable to attend your child's Maths workshop or are unsure of any of the Maths homework, please make an appointment with your child's class teacher who will be happy to help.
Today we held a friendly Rugby Festival with other schools across Felixstowe. The children from each school were extremely well behaved and there was a real sense of enjoyment and success. A massive thank you to Mr Keegan from Causton, who organised and ran the event and to the Sports Leaders from Felixstowe Academy who refereed and lead training sessions.
TSM would like to reinvent our House Team System. Currently our old House Team System has lost all purpose and impact, so with the request of many children we are going to give it a face lift. Our Challenge 1. To Rename the four coloured teams 2. To decide what house points should be given for 3. To decide what the rewards should be for winning teams 4. To decide how often these rewards should be given Our new House Team tokens and tube unit has arrived... Send in your suggestions and see if the new House Teams are named by you. Rules 1. NAME- Think of a category and then four names within that category (for example- Rivers- Orwell- Red, Gipping- Green, Deben- Yellow, Stour- Blue) 2. REASON- Think why we should get House Points (for example- being extremely helpful to a visitor) 3. REWARD- Think what the reward for the winning team should be (for example- an afternoon of games on the field just for their team) 4. WHEN- Think when the rewards should be (for example- the first Friday after each half term Send your suggestions to Mrs Ross via the contact form or handed into the office DEADLINE- FRIDAY 11th November ![]() Mon 31 Oct First day back… Tue 1 Nov Year 1 and Year 2 Maths Curriculum Afternoon 14:30 – 15:30 Wed 2 Nov Year 4 and Year 5 Maths Curriculum Afternoon 14:00 – 15:30 Thu 3 Nov Year R Maths Curriculum Afternoon 14:30 – 15:30 Year 3 Maths Curriculum Afternoon 14:00 – 15:30 Tue 8 Nov Rugby Festival Tue 8 Nov Girls Football club- Causton- 5 weeks Wed 9 Nov Year 6 Maths Curriculum Afternoon 14:00 – 15:30 Mon 14 Nov – Fri 18 Nov Anti Bullying Week – Focus ‘Being a Good friend’ ‘Power for Good' Fri 18 Nov Wear Blue/something Spotty (Non-uniform day) –End of Anti bullying week/Children in Need Wed 23 Nov Firefighters visiting Year R & Year 4 Thur 24 Nov Year 5 Science day- Felixstowe Academy Thu 8 Dec Year 2, Year 1 and Year R Nativity for Parents 14:00 – 15:30 Fri 9 Dec Year 2, Year 1 and Year R Nativity for Parents 14:00 – 15:30 Sun 11 Dec Everlasting Light at Spa Pavilion Tue 13 Dec Art / D&T Curriculum Afternoon – Christmas Enterprise 14:00 – 15:30 Wed 14 Dec Christmas Lunch 12:00 - 13:30 Thu 15 Dec PTA Xmas Market Wrapping Thu 15 Dec XMAS fete & Enterprise 15:00 17:00 Fri 16 Dec Xmas Tesco visit- Reception Fri 16 Dec Xmas Disco Tue 20 Dec School Carol Concert (Pupils only) Tue 20 Dec Class Christmas Parties 13:30 – 15:30 On Monday all girls in Key Stage 2 will bring home this flyer about a girls football club running from Tuesday 8th November to Tuesday 6th December on the 'all weather' pitch at Causton Primary School (Adjacent to the old Orwell School Sports Hall).
