TSM managed to raise a remarkable £168 for this years poppy appeal! Today in assembly we talked about the two main purposes of the poppy appeal and some of the wars British soldiers have fought in over the last 100 years. At 11am, all classes had a two minute silence.
Four members of the TSM Young Engineers Club attended the STEM Ambassadors Conference with Mr Edwards and myself. The children demonstrated the work they have been completing in their club. The feedback from the Businesses and Secondary Schools that attended the event was amazing! The children were confident in explaining their work and the most impressive part of today was that me and Mr Edwards just sat back and let the children do the talking - purely because the children have such a deep understanding of the work they have been doing and are so passionate and proud of what they have been learning.
Every time a pupil reads 5 times in one week they are given a raffle ticket to enter the reading book draw! A draw is carried out half termly and one took place today! Hurrah! You know what you need to do in order to take part!
Children have been learning the first block of choreography in the first couple of minutes of their P.E. lessons. In a couple of weeks time, pupils will battle it out in a house team dance off! Click the link below to see the choreography and Miss Reynolds (kindly) modelling the steps!
