He told us what to do if we every got lost and what to do when we think there is stranger danger.
Today Glynn Bown our local community police officer visited our class. He explained what he's job was and how he helps keep us safe. He told us what to do if we every got lost and what to do when we think there is stranger danger. We even had the chance to have a look at his police car and listen to the siren. Some of us wanted to get in too.

This week in Maths we have been learning to name, spot and describe shapes. Shapes have been everywhere in our classroom. In the maths area, in the play dough, in the sand, outside and even on the art table.
We have had lots of fun making all sorts of things using lots of different shaped boxes, tubes, cups and much more. Have a look at some of the things we made. We have started painting our self portraits for our class 'Art Gallery'. Looking at ourselves in the mirror to make sure we know what colours to use for our hair and eyes. A sneaky peek! As part of our gallery we will be putting up the photos of us as babies. If you haven't sent one in yet, there is still time and we will return them all.
A HUGE Thank You for all the food brought in for todays Harvest Festival. We really have some thoughtful and wonderful parents. Class Hughes alone brought in enough food to fill the class lunch trolley. When we arrived at the hall, we had enough food to fill the square allocated to Reception, plus fill up other year group's squares too. ENOUGH TO MAKE MR STOCK SING!! (Check out Mr Stock's Blog and hopefully you will be able to watch too!).
This week we are singing to learn the sounds made by letters. We are singing the sounds for s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d. Have a go at home. Friday was a great day of fun, cake and sweets. A big thank you to Sophia's mum for the wonderful cake & Finlay's mum for the sweets. Two more 5 year olds in the class!!!
