We were lucky to have the dental nurse visit us this morning. She explained the importance of brushing our teeth and how to do this correctly. She read a story all about going to the dentist as it can be quite scary when you haven't been before. Some children acted out being the dentist, dental nurse and patient. She also told us about healthy snacks and that it's best to eat sweet treats after dinner. The children made delicious cheese twists today. The k you to Grace's mum and Theo's mum for helping. Some of the children made an amazing obstacle course in the Wild wood today 😁 We were very fortunate to have nurses Ali and Jen visit today to discuss their jobs. They showed us the equipment they have to use. They demonstrated the importance of washing our hands with soap to stop germs spreading. Some children were able to tell Ali and Jen that we had to count to 20 when washing our hands! They then read us a story about hospitals. Next we got to play with some of their equipment including some amazing puzzles showing the different layers of the human body and some clock stickers which showed the clocks nurses use. The children loved swapping books today as part of our Book Day celebrations 😁📚 The children loved the new music wall and seating area in the Wild Wood! 😁
We had a fab Shove Tuesday. In the Wild Wood we had a pancake flipping competition. Then in the afternoon we tasted different pancake toppings. |
