Today we completed a team building activity. Using only 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 metre of string, 1 metre of masking tape and 3 marshmallows we challenged each group to build the tallest tower. Everyone worked well together to compete the task. The tallest measured 58cm.

What a fantastic performance of Wind in the Willows! The whole class worked brilliantly together to act and sing their way through a great production of the show. Well done! We enjoyed making our vehiclesOur finished Designs and VehiclesThe Soap Box DerbyGood use of these Learning Gems:Celebrating 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II on the throne TSM will be holding their own street party and activities on Wednesday 8th June.
Come to school in our 1950s theme, in red, white & blue or as a royal. Join in the fun by bringing in your own royal tea! Individual mini pack up for our street party!! ResearchingBefore designing and making our own Soap Box Derby vehicles, we found out more about vehicles that move using gravity rather than an engine. We also looked at some Soap Box Derby designs that we liked. MakingWe explored how to use various tools and materials safely including: pistol saws, bench hooks, g-clamps, glue guns, PVA glue, sandpaper, scissors, wood and card. We made photograph frames for YR to give us the chance to practise some of the sawing, measuring and gluing skills we will need to make our own vehicles.
