Why is Horrid Henry so horrid?
How can you fly?
Why is grass green?

Yesterday in Nightingale we followed instructions to make a rocket that would fly! We made it with paper and a straw. To test our rocket we had to blow down the straw and watch it fly across the hall. Some worked well and others left us questioning why they didn't travel!
Below are the pictures of our best rocket launches- travelling up to 3 metres and 90cms ! Today we have used pastels, crayons and chalks to create great art work all about owls. We have tried to use mark making to make our owls look colourful and fluffy!
Today we let our butterflies fly into the big wide world. We have looked after them since they were baby caterpillars and watched as they made cocoons.
Today we had a morning all about Peaches! We have been writing Peach riddles, making postcards about James and the Giant peach. We have even been cooking biscuits with peach jam in the middle- which we hope you enjoy!
On Friday Miss Nicholls left us after 6 months in Nightingale! We wish her all the very best in her teaching career and will miss her lots.
Today we went on a mini beast hunt on the school field. We were able to find lots of creatures from Ladybirds, ants, spiders and lots of different flies! Here are some of our pictures- can you spot our creatures!
Nightingale have been looking at peaches this week, trying to decribe how they smell and feel. We have written lots of adjectives and produced great pieces of art work! On Friday we found a giant peach growing on the school field. We pretented that we were newspaper reporters asking questions to James, Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge!
The children wanted to share a bit of their Kenyan song that they learnt for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs Wilson has had her baby. The baby was born on Easter Sunday and was a baby boy.
