Thank you to those who were able to attend the Maths Afternoon today. Hopefully you were able to see a little insight of our new White Rose Maths scheme....something which is working really well and the children are enjoying.

In our Science lesson this afternoon, we were very busy making our material monsters! We used a range of different material, such as cardboard, plastic, polystyrene, metal, paper, cotton and lots more!
We had great fun and made some great monsters!!! We had a lovely afternoon surprising Miss Rushbrooke with afternoon tea and a party to celebrate her wedding in August. We made some fab toilet roll wedding dresses... will Miss Rushbrooke wear a similar design on her big day? 😁
We have completed an Nrich problem solving task to decide which shapes could have made these shadows.
We're still revising a lot for our SATs. But we took our learning outside. We had to run around and find the next maths question. A cat from over the road even wanted to join in!
Today was Mrs Matthews' Reading Raffle assembly - there are many books to win, if you read 5 times a week! Our Y2 winner was very pleased with her choice.
We had an art day today to celebrate the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds.
The book is about resilience and creativity. We created our own dots ready for a big display to remind us all to be creative and resilient every day at TSM! 😊 We took our maths lesson outside today to find matching fractions and pictures which show the fraction. We had to think very carefully about what each fraction actually meant. E.g. one half is one of two equal parts. |
